Sam had the chance to meet his great-grandparents this past weekend for the first time. It was wonderful to have 4 generations of family members together. We are enjoying our time together in Pennsylvania and as far as we can tell, so is Sam. He even now has a Phillies outfit to wear. Here are some other pics as well
Sam had a big week of firsts. This week for the first time he chewed on his toes, laughed at us, threw-up (twice) and slept for 10 hours straight! Everyday Sam is engaging his world more and becoming more playful.
The first picture is of Sam all dressed up this weekend - he's so adorable my heart almost bursts!
Also, here are a few pictures of Sam and his friend, Jaelyn. They still don't have much use for one another, but soon enough they will realize that they are going to be spending a lot of time together!
We had the awesome opportunity to dedicate Sam today. We are so thankful for many things today: Sam, having a wonderful faith community for Sam to grow up in, our parents (especially fathers on this father's day!), dedicating Sam along with John, Hilary, and Jaelyn, and having a community that can really cook some good food!!
Today was a great day. For us to know that Sam is going to grow up with the people at Community Fellowships guiding him in his faith journey is a wonderful thing. We are so thankful for all of the people that God has brought into our lives.

Well, real life is beginning to set back in again. Katie is back to work close to full time, my summer is about to start with DOOR, and well, now we have Sam. So these updates may be coming a little slower over the next few months. We are very thankful for our friends here in Atlanta, specifically John and Hilary, who are helping us take care of Sam for the next few months as Katie and I finish out DOOR and Mission Year for the year. Here are some pictures of Sam we thought you'd enjoy. And this picture is our the DOOR staff for the summer with Sam this past week and of Sam taking his first train ride.
Sam reached the two month mark this weekend. Life is starting to take on a new normal, and we are all getting into a better routine and understanding each other better. We are really enjoying this time in our life.
