Sam and Jaelyn were wonderful the other morning, and both slept for 1 1/2 hours at the same time (a little walk helped that out) but the problem was they both woke up hungry at the same time. Therefore, I just feed them both at the same time in the crib. Here is a little of what transpired in the crib after the both woke up and ate. After the last scene, I think it would be appropriate to enroll Sam in the program our friend John works for at Men Stopping Violence!

DOOR/Mission Year Winds Down
This past week, Katie and I have said goodbye to the DOOR and Mission Year folks that we have had the pleasure of working with over the past year, summer, and previous summers. We have been blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives and it was very sad to say goodbye to everyone. For me, it was especially hard as this is my last day at DOOR. After today, I will be working for Mission Year. It has been a great five years with DOOR and I have many fond memories, but I am also looking forward to new challenges with Mission Year next year.
We want to say thanks to everyone for being a part of our lives this year, both here in Atlanta, and from a far. This has been a very hard year for us as we have had to balance a lot of commitments and we welcomed Sam into this world. We would not have survived this year without your presence, prayers, and support. Our lives have truly been enriched by having such a wonderful group of people around us.
As you may be able to tell already, updates should be coming more frequent now as we have more time to share stories, pictures, videos, and our good times with Sam with you all.
Here are pictures of the people that we have been working with this past year and summer who have meant so much to us:

Beach Pictures and Comparison
Here are some pictures from the beach. And here is a picture comparison of Sam at 4 months and his dad at 4 months. What do you think?

Sam the Soccer Player
After spending some time at the beach, Sam decided that he was much more into soccer than playing in the water. Here is a video of Sam showing off his soccer skills. He has headers, dribbling, and even playing a little keeper down. Enjoy!
