NL East Champs

The past couple of weeks have been wonderful for us as a family. First, our work has finally calmed down, so we have had more time, and at the same time, the weather finally broke and we have experienced much cooler temps than we have had in the past 4 months. Here are a few highlights from the past couple of days, and here are some pictures on Shutterfly:

First, and most importantly, the Phillies won the NL East today in dramatic fashion. Sam was a big part of it. Unfortunately, we did not get a picture today because we were too focused on the game, but here is one of him showing off his loyalties:

Sam has enjoyed his new fall outfits. Here is Sam with his mommy wearing matching gray hooded sweatshirts:

Here is Sam out and about in downtown Atlanta. We got to play in the fountains, go to the library, and ride the train, what a great day!!:

Sam got his first tooth this week!! What an accomlishment! Sam is not willing to let us take a picture of it, he is a little stubborn sometimes, hmmm?? But here are Sam and Jaelyn chowing down on their favorite teething toys:

Good Night, Sam

I snapped this photo tonight just before I put Sam to bed. It was so precious I had to share. I think it shows how happy Sam is all the time. We are so thankful for such a happy baby - he makes us so happy too!

Bath Time

We've had a lot of ups and downs with Sam's bath times. Since he was born, he's hated taking baths. He screams and cries every time he gets in the bath. We've come up with a hundred different theories about his fear of bathing from it being genetic (if you know Sam's dad and Uncle Steve you understand why) to being a control freak and feeling out of control in the water (and if you know Sam's mom and dad you understand that one). Sam loves the pool, so we just don't get it. Needless to say, what ends up happening is we just don't bathe Sam enough. This afternoon he got too stinky, so we put him in the bath with Daddy. We had a rough go of it at the beginning, but eventually he calmed down. As you can see in the pictures, Sam was still a little cautious of the situation, but he's just so darn cute when he's naked. After the tub, we had a little fun with Sam's hair. Enjoy!

The Last Few Weeks

We've been a little busy the last two weeks, and haven't been able to post in a while. Here are a few pictures of what we've been up to.

Grammy and Grandpa came for a visit and took good care of Sam while I had to work and Jeff was out of town.

Sam also started eating some veggies this week. He wasn't so sure about them at first, but now he can't get enough of them. I'm going to try to be domestic this weekend and make my own baby food.

Here's another picture of Sam and Jaelyn. They have started sitting up and playing with each other some. They love to face each other and play with all of their toys, but as you can see, the stroller is still their favorite hangout.

Learning to Sit up and Eat

Sam has passed two milestones this week. He has started sitting up on his own, and we have started to give him food. He seems to be really happy about both (he seems to be happier about the food though!!, we are happier about the sitting up!!). Here is a video of Sam showing off his new tricks.
