Playime!

For those of you that have yet to see for yourself, Sam and Maya love each other! Sam has been an amazing big brother. He hugs and kisses Maya every morning when she wakes up, he helps put her pacifier back in (even if she doesn't want it), he rubs her belly when she is crying saying "It's Ok Maya!', shares his toys with her (again, even if she doesn't want them), and countless other cute things. For herself, Maya's face definitely lights up when she hears her brothers voice in the room. It is amazingly sweet and fun to watch them interact!

Here is a sampling of their interactions together!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this past Sunday. The day started with Sam having a small Easter egg hunt at the house. This was the first Easter that Sam was able to understand and enjoy hunting for eggs. He was a bit confused about things because he though Jesus hid the egg in the living room - we'll get it all straightened out.

Here he is after finding his eggs. Sam wouldn't look for the next egg until he had eaten the M&Ms out of the egg he just found - the evidence is on his face.

Sam did a good job of sharing his eggs with Maya.

The Delp Family Easter photo. Sam is wearing the shirt that Mandy brought him back from India. He looked so cute in it.

There was an Easter egg hunt at church also, and Sam loved looking for candy.

After church and naps, we met up with some friends to play baseball at the high school. Sam and Jaelyn loved watching their dads play baseball. After the game, Coach Brent let Sam and Jaelyn ride with him as he worked on the field - they LOVED it!

We ended the day with an impromptu barbeque with friends and neighbors. It was a wonderful day celebrating our Savior with friends and family.

Sam Turns Two!

While this is a little delayed, we wanted to highlight Sam's 2nd birthday! We had a party for him and Jaelyn a couple of weekends ago. While we had a planned a jungle party at playground, the weather made us move it inside. It was still a great time with friends.

We told Sam that his birthday was on the day of the party so we weren't celebrating for over a week. Here Sam is on the morning of his "birthday" having a birthday breakfast with Daddy.

Road Trip!

The Delp family decided to embark on a road trip to the great state of Texas this spring break. I mean, what else screams road trip other than 2 kids under the age of two!! Well, we had a great time, and the kids did wonderfully while we traveled. Sam definitely enjoyed his time at Grammy and Grandpa's house. He got to do some amazing new things, such as, fly a kite, see Texas Blue Bonnets, feed some fish, play with Randy's hunting calls, and ride a street car in New Orleans. Maya had the chance to finally break out some of her summer attire, including a great dress, as well as, well, just sit around for a while in the bumpo.

Here are some pictures of our trip. There are more on shutterfly

Sam after he first woke up on the road trip. For the most part, he and Maya were happy campers!

A family tradition in Texas is to take pictures of your children in fields of wild blue bonnets. Here is our first attempt at such a photo.

Sam flying his first kite. He thought it was pretty cool, especially because it had Elmo on it.

Cutest baby ever....

Road Trip Continued

Here are some more photos of our road trip to Texas and New Orleans.

Sam and Ruby in awe of the ducks and turtles at the park:

Sam trying to feed the ducks cherrios. This involved Sam running after the ducks and trying to throw cherrios at them. Needless to say, not too successful.

This is Maya's first ride on Public Transportation, the New Orleans street car. She slept for all of it.

We did the tourist thing in New Orleans. Here are the four of us eating at Cafe Du Mond.
