Introducting Samuel Jay Delp

Samuel Jay Delp was born on April 3, 2007 at 12:50 am at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He was 7 lbs, 11 oz and 21 inches long. He was perfectly healthy (except for a cone shaped head!!) and mom and baby are doing well.

Katie started labor at 12:00 am April 1 which means she was in labor for 49 hours. Pretty crazy. We are happy that Sam was not born on April fool's day, but 49 hours was a bit much.

For those of you that have not yet met Sam, we are looking forward to introducing him to you, and for those far away, we hope that this will serve as a way that you can stay updated on the our lives together. Thanks for all of your prayers and support during the last nine months!

Here is a video of Sam sleeping, day dreaming about being outside (or so it seems) and sneezing. This is about as exciting as it gets around here now, but it is pretty darn cute.

Sam has been a joy to have around. Though, as I am about to go outside and mow the grass, I do wish that Sam was a few years older so that he could come help me. But I guess he will grow up soon enough!!

Wonderful to know that you've entered the blogging world! It is a great way to keep in touch with family and friends. You guys are wonderful parents already and Sam is a sweet little guy. Owen can't wait to roll around on the ground with him.

No hurry in growing up! A year from now he will be double his length/height, triple his weight, moving around and babbling all the time. Enjoy the quiet and peace.
Thank you for sharing, I look forward to more pics and videos. When he is old enough to hike, come visit us in Grand Junction, CO!

Yeah, I want my boy to do the yard work too, but I can wait.
This settles it, I will see you in October!
